Holiday Workshops & Classes

Want to take dance classes but commitment isn't your thing? Have a busy or shifting schedule that interferes with regular weekly classes? Try an entire level in our one- or two-day intensive workshops!

Starting over the holidays Swing It! will be offering intensive workshops that tackle an entire 5-hour level in either a single day, or split over back-to-back days. The single-day workshop will consist of 2.5 hours in the morning, followed by an extended lunch break and the remaining 2.5 hours in the afternoon. The two-day version can be split over a weekend or over two weeknights, with 2.5 hours each day. Both versions will include practice time before and after the instruction periods.

All intensive workshops will be small-group lessons held at the Oaklands studio, with a maximum enrollment of six students per class. Price will be the same as regular group lessons: $50/person and a half-price discount for post-secondary students. (Coupon holders can apply their group lessons to the workshops.) This format allows for rapid advancement, nearly private lesson instruction and maximum scheduling flexibility.

Scheduling is based on demand. Once we have enough interest to run your level we will post the schedule and let you know. If this format sounds right for you please contact us and ad your name to the waiting list!

Level 1 Class & Guided Practice - Sundays Starting Nov. 6th!

Level 1 East Coast Swing classes start this Sunday!

* 5:00-6:00 PM - Beginner East Coast Swing @ the Martin Batchelor Gallery downtown. $50 general/$25 for full-time students.

* 6:00-7:00 PM Swing Guided Practice - work on what you've learned in class with an instructor present to answer questions. $5 general/$2 students.

Also, if the Sunday time and/or location don't work for you, we have a Thursday night small-group class scheduled to start in a few weeks.

* 7:15-8:15 PM - (Nov. 17-Dec. 15th) Beginner East Coast Swing @ the Oaklands Studio near Hillside Mall. $50 general/$25 for full-time students. (6 Students Maximum)

SWING CITY HIATUS FOR OCTOBERFEST

Sadly the Edelweiss Club has bumped Swing City from its usual Friday night timeslot for most of October due to Octoberfest.

The next Swing City will not be until November 4th.
